Spence's comeback will be featured as the main event of a PBC on Prime Video pay-per-view, marking his debut at the 154-pound weight class. The highly anticipated fight is tentatively scheduled for either June 6 or June 13, and the exact location in Australia is still to be decided.
Errol Spence Jr. boasts an impressive record of 28 wins, 1 loss, with 22 of those victories coming by knockout. His last appearance in the ring was in July 2023, where he endured a tough defeat against Terence Crawford. In that championship bout, which aimed to crown the undisputed welterweight champion, Spence was knocked down three times before being stopped in the ninth round. This loss led to significant speculation about his future in the sport, with many wondering if it would mark the end of his career.
However, whispers of Spence's return began circulating in early 2025, with potential matchups mentioned, including a fight against WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora. Unfortunately, that matchup did not materialize as Fundora secured his own fight against Keith Thurman.
