Matt Stone Racing's New Look: Unveiling the 2026 Liveries and Driver Line-up (2026)

Get ready for an exciting new chapter in the world of racing! Matt Stone Racing is back with a bang, unveiling their fresh driver lineup and some seriously cool liveries. But here's where it gets interesting... and a little controversial.

Today, at Distillery Road Market in sunny Queensland, just a stone's throw from their Yatala base, the team revealed their new look. And it's a doozy!

Sherrin Rentals is back in the game, full-time, with the talented Le Brocq at the wheel. This sponsorship deal has an intriguing backstory - Sherrin Rentals previously backed the wildcard efforts of Aaron Seton and Cameron Crick in 2025. But now, they're all in with Le Brocq, who is no stranger to success.

And here's where it gets even more intriguing. Tyrepower, a major player in the racing world, has followed Le Brocq back to MSR after a stint with Erebus Motorsport. This move is a significant shift in sponsorship, and it's sure to turn some heads. Tyrepower was a major backer of MSR in 2024, featuring on Cameron Hill's car. So, this reunion is a big deal!

Le Brocq's return to the team feels like a homecoming. After two seasons with Erebus, he's back where he had great success, including a memorable win at Hidden Valley in 2023. It was his second career win, and he's not shy about his excitement:

"I'm thrilled to be back with Matt and the team. Our win in Darwin in 2023 was a highlight, and I'm inspired by Matt's drive to push the team forward."

But wait, there's more! Bendix, the braking component manufacturer, is back as the major backer of car #10, now piloted by the rookie sensation Zach Bates. Bates replaces Nick Percat, who has moved to Triple Eight as a co-driver.

The familiar blue livery of car #10 remains, with some subtle design tweaks and refreshed minor sponsorships. It's a look that's both classic and modern.

Bates, the 2024 Super2 Series winner, made some impressive wildcard starts in the Supercars Championship in 2025. He notably finished the Bathurst 1000 in 10th place alongside racing legend Craig Lowndes. Now, he's ready to make his mark as a full-time driver with MSR.

"The past couple of years have been incredible. Winning Super2, partnering with Craig Lowndes, and now joining Matt Stone Racing. I'm eager to learn and make my mark!"

Team owner Matt Stone sees this as a pivotal moment:

"This is an important year for us. We've invested heavily in our team during the off-season to accelerate our growth and reach the top. There's an electric atmosphere in our workshop, and we're determined to succeed both on and off the track. I'm excited about our direction and can't wait for the racing to begin!"

The Repco Supercars Championship season kicks off with the Dunlop Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20-22. Will MSR's new lineup and liveries bring them success? Only time will tell.

What do you think about these moves? Do you see MSR as a contender this season? Let us know in the comments!
